It seems ridiculous that we can send satellites into orbit without incident, can clone cells in a lab, and can communicate with someone around the world in real time, yet we can't figure out a way to detect pregnancy in the first few days.
I mean really, peeing on a stick the day our period is due is the best we've been able to come up with? How can there not be a hi-tech ultrasound that can pick up a clump of several millions cell? Making a woman wait TWO WEEKS to find out if she's pregnant or not is just cruel. I bet if researchers put some effort into it, they could figure out some other chemical or combination of chemicals that elevate a day after conception occurs. Can someone get on that?
And isn't getting your period really one of the worst ways to receive bad news? Nope, not pregnant, but you do get to bleed and have cramps for the next few days.
